Parent Involvement

As a parent run organisation, we feel we are offering something special, in that parents have a real opportunity to help shape their children’s education. The Orchard is managed by a Committee of parents and supporters working in close partnership with the teaching staff. New parents are very welcome to join the Committee. Feedback is encouraged and the school is very responsive. 

Tapestry is used for online learning journals and enables two-way communication with staff and parents. Wow! moments can be shared when achieved at home as well as when at The Orchard.

Parents are also invited to regular “Parent Surgery” sessions to discuss their child’s work.
